Oversigt

  • The Si4703-C is a complete FM tuner receiver system from FM radio input to stereo output. A digital processor is integrated on the chip to handle the symbol decoding block synchronization, error detection and error correction functions required by the Radio Data Broadcasting System (RBDS).
  • The FM receiver uses a mixer to reduce the RF signal to a low intermediate frequency, thereby reducing additional peripheral circuit devices. The automatic frequency control (AFC) adjusts the voltage-controlled oscillator to generate an orthogonal local signal to the mixer. The output of the orthogonal mixer is amplified, filtered and digitized by a high-resolution analog-to-digital converter (ADC).
  • The digital signal processing (DSP) can perform channel selection, FM demodulation and stereo audio processing. The internal automatic gain control (AGC) circuit controls the gain of the low-noise amplifier (LNA) to make it more sensitive and more powerful in noise suppression.
  • The integrated LDO regulator on the chip can be directly connected to the battery, and the headphone jack can be used as an RF receiving antenna by inserting headphones. This advanced architecture has superior performance compared to traditional analog architectures.
  • The module also has a 150mW stereo power amplifier with thermal protection and short circuit protection and a 3.5mm headphone jack. When connected to a microcontroller, it can control the volume, automatically search channels manually, mute by software or hardware, and measure signal strength.
