Because the antenna, feeder, balun, and other components in our antenna and feeder system are not standard balanced systems, current will form in the feeder's shielding layer. This current is the interference signal, and it increases with increasing transmit power. This can lead to various strange problems when using FT8. Using chokes to suppress or eliminate common-mode current is a mature technology used in almost all equipment, such as EMI filters used in switching power supplies.
