About Batman Toys
There's simply no denying that Batman is one of the world's most famous superheroes - even if his abilities actually come from his masterful combat skills and gadgets, not any supernatural powers. If anything, that only adds to his cool factor - and makes Batman toys like the ones we have at OnBuy packed with accessories and props of his tech to help him save the day!
Batman figures aren't just content to bring the Caped Crusader himself into your living room though, and Gotham City is packed with heroes and villains aplenty who have had the Batman toys treatment. Reliable young Robin is always ready to lend a hand when Batman's in a pinch, while Batgirl and the shifty Catwoman - one minute hero, next minute villain - will add plenty of fun to your collection of Batman figures.
And of course, where would Batman toys be without Gotham City's infamous rogues' gallery of villains? These are some of the most iconic baddies ever created, famous even beyond the core fanbase of Batman figures. The Joker, The Penguin, Poison Ivy, Mr Freeze, Scarecrow, Harley Quinn, and many more besides - the Caped Crusader's definitely got his work cut out for him!
What kind of Batman toys are there?
There are so many kinds of Batman toys available, from Batman figures and Batman stuffed toys to LEGO Batman and collectable Batman bust figures. After all, this is a hero who's been with us for decades, and he's had loads of merchandise made of him!
If you're shopping for a younger Batman fan, Batman figures are often a good way to go. One thing parents are advised to keep in mind is that there are basically two sides to the Batman universe - the more action-based, lighthearted side, like you might see in the 1960s Batman TV show, in the LEGO Batman Movie or in the 1990s Batman Animated Series; but also a darker, more edgy adults-only style of Batman, seen in the Gotham TV programme set in his world, in The Joker movie, or in the Frank Miller comic book adaptations.
There's no need to feel intimidated though - our range of Batman toys has the Caped Crusader's more family-friendly side on proud display. Yet if your kid's getting into Batman for the first time and you're only really learning about this franchise's hidden depths for the first time as a parent, it's a smart idea to keep this grittier side of the character seen elsewhere in mind too.
How old should kids be to play with Batman figures?
While every kid grows and matures at a different rate, Batman figures are usually recommended for ages seven and above by manufacturers - yet some Batman toys are designed for younger kids, and even preschoolers and toddlers as well.
Generally speaking though, Batman action figures tend to become a more naturally appealing Batman toy to kids as they reach six, seven or above - their imaginations get much more active around this age, and kids love to re-enact scenes they've seen or to create new adventures all of their own.
Come teenage years or above, many Batman fans develop a love of Batman figures that sees them collect them well into adulthood - and in some cases, creating Batman action figure collections worth lots of money!
While we can't promise OnBuy's Batman toys will lead collectors on the path to riches, we can definitely promise we have enough variety and action to please Batman fans of all ages! How will you be saving Gotham City today?
