The story of Sylvania
Sylvanian Families is the brainchild of Japanese toy company Epoch, who wanted to create a series of animal toys and doll houses based on a rustic aesthetic inspired by 1950’s America. The cute calico critters of the Sylvanian Families live in the small woodland village of Sylvania, from which the collection gets its name.
