The most common lens fulfils two purposes. The first is to protect the fragile glass of your lenses from scratches and scuffs; the other is to filter out UV light. Too much UV light can give your photos a blue tint, and this is particularly important when taking pictures on film because film is more sensitive to UV light than digital sensors. You’ll find high quality filters in a variety of standard lens sizes.
