Synopsis:
Alex (Evan Whitten), a shy 13-year-old boy, flew from Kansas City to Mexico to meet his extended family members for the first time. There, he met his grandfather Chava (played by Demian Bizier), a former free wrestling champion, his energetic and wrestling obsessed cousin Mimo (played by Nicolas Verdugo), and his bold and fashionable cousin Luna (played by Ashley Chala). But just as Alex began to assimilate into his environment, he discovered a mysterious creature in his grandfather's hut: a young Chupacabra. Alex had seen this creature in the story of the terrifying adult Chupacabra, which was said to feed on farmers' livestock. Alex soon learns that his new friend "Chupa" and his family have an unknown history, while stubborn and dangerous scientist Richard Quinn (played by Christian Slater) is pursuing this misunderstood creature and attempting to harness its power. In order to protect Chupa from imminent danger, Alex embarked on a once-in-a-lifetime adventure that will strengthen his relationship with his new family members and make him understand that life becomes better when he no longer has to bear the burden of life alone.
