Synopsis:
The story takes place in 1971 at a remote outpost on the Navajo reservation near the Monoument Valley, where Joe Leaphorn, a tribal law enforcement officer, is overwhelmed by a series of seemingly unrelated cases. The closer he gets to the truth, the more he exposes his past traumas. Leaphorn and the new police officer Jim Chee (played by Kiowa Gordon) are investigating these cases together, and Chee also has some long-standing grievances from his youth on the reservation that need to be resolved. The two of them are fighting against evil forces, each other, and their own demons on the path to redemption.
