FORScan ELM327 scan tool supports all OBD2 protocols (J1850 PWM, HS CAN, MS CAN, HS CAN2, HS CAN3) and works as a normal OBDII/EOBD/CAN car code reader on most supported vehicles from 1996 onward. Additionally, it is designed with an MS-CAN/HS-CAN toggle switch, enabling more professional functions for Ford, Mazda, and Lincoln vehicles. This makes it a favorite tool and accessory sought by Ford owners.

Please note: the driver is for 32/64-bit Windows Vista/XP/7/8/8.1/10/10 Pro. The USB driver is CH340. This device is for Windows OS only, not for apps. New 2019 and later Mazda 3 and CX-30 models are not supported.

What sets this OBD2 scanner apart is that it is specifically designed for Ford, Mazda, Lincoln, and Mercury vehicles. It supports manufacturer-specific protocols, making FORScan more powerful with these models than any regular OBD2 scanner. Many Ford and Mazda models from around 2003-2004 are equipped with an MS CAN bus in addition to the regular HS CAN bus. Unlike the HS CAN bus, the MS CAN bus is not supported by a stock ELM327 because it is a manufacturer-specific solution located on non-OBD2 pins. This modified ELM327 allows implementation of the MS CAN bus. It also supports HS CAN from stock, as Ford's HS CAN completely matches OBD2 standards - HS CAN occupies pins 6 and 14, while MS CAN bus occupies pins 3 and 11.

FORScan software can detect modules invisible to regular OBD2 scanners, display trouble codes never shown by standard OBD2 scanners, show PIDs unsupported by any OBD2 scanner, and run specific tests and service procedures. In other words, it does what regular OBD2 scanners cannot. Supported vehicles include all Ford, Mazda, Lincoln, and Mercury models that can be addressed by supported adapters - approximately 99% of models after 2000 and around 92% after 1996 (when OBD2 became a standard in the USA). Note that new 2019 and later Mazda 3 and CX-30 are not supported.

FORScan main features: detect vehicle on-board network configuration; read and reset Diagnostic Trouble Codes from all modules (see list of supported modules on the official FORScan store); read module sensor data; run diagnostic test procedures; and run service procedures. When starting HS CAN function, the software supports 12 languages: English, Czech, Danish, German, French, Spanish, Hungarian, Italian, Polish, Turkish, Serbian, Croatian. When starting MS CAN function, it supports English and Russian.
