Synopsis:
In the first installment of the film series "The Mechanic," the top assassin Arthur (played by Jason Statham), who pretends to be dead, washes his hands and lives a peaceful life as an ordinary person. In a seemingly unexpected event, Arthur's confidante Mei (played by Yang Ziqiong) requests Arthur to rescue the mysterious woman Gina (played by Jessica Alba) who has been repeatedly poisoned. Unexpectedly, Arthur, who has always been immune to love, falls in love with Gina, and his peaceful life is also disrupted as a result.
After five years of living a peaceful life away from right and wrong, Arthur thought he had bid farewell to his past career as a killer. However, fate was hard to match, and someone secretly set their sights on him. The mystery of Arthur's identity also surfaced. Originally, when he was young, he and a group of children were captured by an arms dealer and trained to play with guns and kill. Arthur, who couldn't bear it, escaped from the arms dealer's hands, while one of his friends grew up to become the successor of the arms dealer and the biggest villain in the film.
This villain found Arthur and kidnapped his beloved Gina, threatening him to assassinate three of the world's most dangerous people. In order for him and his lover to escape, Arthur is forced to engage in assassin work again, and he must complete a series of impossible assassination missions within a limited time.
Arthur is well aware of the brutality of the villain and will never let himself go in the end. After successfully assassinating two targets, Arthur forms an alliance with the third target - another large-scale arms dealer leader Adams (played by Tommy Lee Jones) - to jointly deal with their common opponent.
