1. This adapter card only supports EDSFF 1U Short SSDS (referred to as E1.S) of similar volume and shape such as PM9A3 and PM9D3. This type of SSD is approximately 119 millimeters in length and 34 millimeters in width. EDSFF SSDS come in various specifications. Be sure not to buy the wrong one. Even for the same E1.S specification, since some E1.S SSDS do not have thick heat sinks and are smaller in size than this type of hard drive, they cannot be installed. This point must be noted!
2. Whether it can be used as a system disk is determined by your motherboard, not by the adapter card! This point must be made clear! As long as your computer motherboard can support the NVMe protocol hard disk as the system disk, then support this hard disk as the system disk! Motherboards that generally use DDR4 memory sticks basically support system disks.
3. An adapter card merely takes the wires out of your old hard drive and changes the shape of your hard drive's interface. An adapter card has no integrated circuits, so it has no limitations on the performance of your hard drive. Essentially, it functions like a wire! This adapter card is for inserting into the PCIe graphics card slot on the motherboard. Don't insert it in the wrong position! If you insert it into the PCI slot, it may burn out the adapter card and hard disk!
4. This adapter card only changes the interface shape, which is to connect the signal line from the old hard disk interface and transform it into another interface shape. This conversion does not require an integrated circuit chip. Since it does not require an integrated circuit chip, it has no impact on the speed and performance of your hard disk, nor does it require any driver (the only needs to load the driver of your hard disk).
5. Do not drive the adapter card because it has no chip. The overall speed depends on how t your hard drive is and how fast your computer can support (upgrading the BIOS of many computers can significantly increase the speed). This is a special statement!
