For safety concern, the red light glasses do not completely blackout; it does block all the strong wavelength lights that cause injury to eyes while at the same time leave the vision for users to see surroundings, which is safer. It is not total blocking which makes the promised safe use safer. The red light therapy glasses are designed with small eye cups to ensure maximum light treatment exposure without endangering eyesight; the bridge connecting material is soft flexible and designed high enough for the comfortable use of high nose bridge. The safety glasses are highly recommended in light therapy or tanning use considering that it has smaller blocking patches (larger treated area exposure); plus it is supposed to work on laser, IPL, or UV lights but it is not recommended for that because larger protective patches may work better.
