Synopsis:
Unprecedented family films and extraordinary personal profiles reveal how Christopher Reeve went from an unknown actor to the iconic movie star of the ultimate screen superhero. Christopher Reeve became paralyzed in all four limbs during a tragic accident and could only rely on a ventilator to breathe. Afterwards, as an activist, he realized the true meaning of heroism. Film producers Ian Bonh ô te and Peter Ettedgui cleverly weave a dual narrative by moving time back and forth, exploring the life changes brought about by two critical moments in Christopher Reeve's career: his appearance in "Superhuman" in 1978 and his paralysis in 1995. Decades before superheroes swept cinemas, Riff made the world believe that humans could fly; His accident has drawn global attention to disability.
In "Super/Human", Riff's family and friends have very sincere reactions to their life before and after the accident. This film deeply moved the audience, highlighting the person behind Superman - not a biography, but a complete portrait that covers both the glory and darkness of Reeve's life journey.
