Looking to buy Parrot Drones?
With a client list that ranges from farmers and firefighters to the United States military, French drone manufacturer Parrot is flying high! Parrot drones put an emphasis on premium build quality, with easy to fly machines that have their lightweight bodies packed with features. We’ve collated all of the Parrot drone products in our online marketplace into a single category. Read on to find out why Parrot drones will have you on cloud nine.
Parrot drones
Parrot’s latest line-up of autonomous aerial vehicles are aimed firmly at videographers. They come with extraordinary digital video cameras that let you record professional-grade footage with ease. If you’re an amatuer filmmaker looking to shoot seamless one take scenes and innovative action scenes or desire to bring a new angle to your nature and architectural footage, these Parrot drones will not let you down.
The megapixel counts of Parrot drone cameras are high, closer to that of a DSLR than a smartphone, and they won’t just record in full HD, but full 4K video resolution with a High Dynamic Range (HDR) mode. This massive resolution gives every shot that you record unparalleled clarity, while the HDR mode processes the video to capture greater detail from dark and light areas - preventing footage taken with one of these Parrot drones from being washed out or under exposed.
As well as the main line of Parrot drones, you’ll also find numbers of older model Parrot drones. The company’s status as the first commercial drone company, and their hardworking R&D team, means that Parrot has a long back catalogue of older drones. They may not be as advanced as their latest offerings but these older Parrot drones remain excellent drones for consumers, and they are a top pick for intrepid drone beginners who don’t want to fork over the full price of the latest Parrot drone to emerge from the lab.
Parrot drone parts & accessories
Among our virtual shelves you’ll also find a selection of accessories and spare parts. Even though Parrot drones are easy to control via their purpose built smartphone apps, crashes are always an unfortunate possibility. But if the worst happens and you damage your drone, you can rely on OnBuy to help get it back in the air! You can find all sorts of replacement parts, from a full set of propellers to new body parts and replacement motors.
As well as parts to repair a damaged drone, you may also discover a range of accessories that make Parrot drones even better. A spare battery is a sensible investment, ensuring your drone can always take to the air. You can also shop travel bags for various Parrot drones, giving you a stylish, practical and safe way to transport your new drone.
Frequently asked questions about Parrot drones
How does a drone work?
Commercial drones are an evolution of traditional RC aircraft with designs that allow them to hover in place. Most Parrot drones have a quadcopter design. This means that they have a propeller at each corner of the drone which gives them lift. By changing the speed and angle at which these propellers turn, the drone can take off or land, turn in mid air or fly in any number of directions.
Can I fly a drone in the rain?
We do not recommend flying Parrot drones in wet weather. This is because none of them are waterproof. A few might have minor protection against splash damage or very light rain but this will not protect them from a downpour. Only fly your drone in good, clear weather.
Can a drone fly with three propellers?
If you think one of your Parrot drone's propellers isn't working correctly, you should not fly it under any circumstances. If the drone drops from the sky it can break beyond repair. Much worse, it can seriously injure someone if it lands on them. If you think there is any problem with your Parrot drone we recommend taking it to a certified repair shop or dealer for them to diagnose and fix the problem.
Are Parrot drones worth buying?
Parrot drones are some of the best drone designs around. We certainly recommend buying them if you're interested in a premium product, particularly if you want to own a drone for aerial photography.
