- SIM cards are valid for 12 months and can be extended by adding pre-paid airtime vouchers. First call must be made within 90 days of activation.
- Important: Thuraya does not offer global coverage so please ensure that the region you wish to use the network in is available on the coverage map. You will be unable: to use any Thuraya equipment including handsets and/or airtime to connect to the network when outside of the Thuraya satellite footprint area. This includes North and South America.

Thuraya Prepaid Standard is a flexible and low-cost plan which allows you to use your Thuraya phone without a monthly contract and make calls at a flat rate. Suitable for all Thuraya satellite phones including Thuraya SG-2520, SO-2510, XT, XT-LITE, XT-Pro and SatSleeve.
This SIM contains 10 units of airtime. Upon activation of your SIM a PIN will be provided to add the remaining units advertised. No activation fee applies. Further credit can be added to the SIM if required. Unused minutes will roll over if further credit is added before initial credit expires. A renewal fee of $39.00 will be taken from the SIM's balance to extend unused credit for 1 year. If the expiry date is not extended your SIM Card will expire and become invalid and a reactivation fee may apply.
The SIM can be activated immediately or any date in the future using our easy to use online activation request web page.
Please note that upon requesting activation of your prepaid airtime you are agreeing that we can start providing your network services before the end of the usual statutory cancellation period and that by doing so, you lose your right to cancel your purchase of the prepaid airtime or request a refund.
