This is a single-port 10G SFP fibre network server card, based on the Intel 82599EN controller. It is intended for high-bandwidth storage (SAN) and network (LAN) traffic. The card uses full hardware offload for FCoE and iSCSI protocol processing, which reduces CPU load and makes it suitable for virtualised setups. It works seamlessly with existing Fibre Channel and iSCSI storage and is compatible with standard drivers and management software.
