After spending an afternoon collecting chestnuts, I then had the daunting task of how to pierce them before cooking. Last year they splattered all over the oven, as I didn't realise they had to be pierced first. This little gadget I found was a game changer! Easy to use. Just put the chestnut in, press down and it 'scores' it. Bake in the oven for 30 mins and the chestnuts peel open with ease. Highly recommended. I'm nuts about it !!
