2.7V Balance Board Equalization Super Farad Capacitor Protection Board DIY Description

Features:

1.This protection board can protect farad capacitors and lithium titanate batteries

For 2.7V farad capacitors and lithium titanate batteries

2.The protection voltage can be changed by replacing the voltage divider resistor

Fine tuning within 2.5V-3V

Higher equalization voltage requires the replacement of high resistance power resistors

3.The working principle of the circuit is that when the voltage of a single battery/capacitor is higher than the equalization voltage

Circuit internal through the opening of the transistor to the battery/capacitor discharge

The excess power is dissipated through the power resistor into heat.

4.Circuit equalization voltage accuracy of ??1%

5.Single protection board is applicable to any 1-6S battery/capacitor

When the number of strings is less than 6S,connect from the negative pole according to the wiring diagram

The extra line can be left empty

Preparation before assembly


Protection plate for Faraday capacitors

Before wiring,discharge all the charge stored in the capacitors

And short the positive and negative terminals of each capacitor with a wire for more than three minutes

The larger the capacity,the longer the shorting time for discharge

Lithium Titanate Protection Board

Before assembling,please make sure that the batteries are in good condition

The internal resistance/capacity of each battery should not be too different

It is best to test and select batteries with good consistency to form a battery pack

This will maximize the life of the battery pack

2.Charging

Lithium Titanate Battery

Before charging for the first time,make sure the voltage difference between each battery is within 0.05V

Higher than the battery discharged to the same level

When charging for the first time,please pay attention to the status of the protection plate at any time

When the voltage of a single cell reaches about 2.7V

The overvoltage indicator lights up

In this case,please pay special attention to the corresponding battery voltage

Farad capacitors

Before use,charge the capacitor bank to a voltage similar to the operating condition

High power resistors can be used to limit the current

Prevent the power supply from being damaged by excessive current or overcurrent protection

If the indicator lights up during normal operation of the capacitor bank

Please remove the capacitor bank to check the capacitance

Note:

1.Protective plates are all tested before shipment

But even the tested ones have a very low possibility of malfunctioning

If you have the conditions,please test again before installation

2. The protection board will generate a lot of heat when it protects

This is the heat generated by the discharging of the battery over the protection voltage through the transistor and resistor

If the heat is not emitted in time

Will damage the protection board or battery

Therefore,the protection board should have enough space to dissipate heat

Do not wrap the protection board with other materials

3.Under normal circumstances,there will be a few batteries whose voltage exceeds the protection voltage at the last stage of charging

So the heat will be controlled within a certain range

When the indicator light is on,the voltage of single cell is 2.7V

Please stop charging when more than half of the indicator lights are on

Check the voltage of each cell and the charger voltage

Check the battery capacity(provided that the initial charge of each battery is at the same level before assembly)

You can try to discharge some batteries with high voltage before charging

Meanwhile,check the maximum charging voltage of the charger(the last stage of Li-ion charger is constant voltage charging)

The voltage measured at this time can be regarded as the maximum charging voltage of the charger
