This is a built-in PWM driver and a clock using i2c communication. This means that this will be very different from the TLC5940 series. You don't need to constantly send signals to occupy your microcontroller!
It is 5V compatible, which means you can also control it with a 3.3V microcontroller and safely drive it to the 6V output (3.4+ positive voltage is also ok when you want to control the white or LEDs)
The 6 address select pins allow you to hook 62 driver boards a single i2c bus, for a total of 992 PWM outputs. That would be a very large resource.

Ready to output 12-bit resolution for stepper motors, which means 4us resolution at 60Hz update rate
