2. Testing and calibration:
(1) After the battery is installed, the unit turns on and emits a long beep. After the automatic shutdown, press the test button for two seconds to restart.
(2) Press the select button to select stud, AC live wire or metal detection function. (For detailed pictures, please refer to the manual)
(3) Place the bottom of the detector close to the wall. At this time, the function symbol does not flash. Touch the measurement button on the right to sample on the surface to be measured. After sampling, the function symbol flashes.
(4) After sampling, release the test button and move the device slowly along the wall.
(5) When the center bar is displayed on the LCD, it means that you have found the edge of the stud. Stop the movement and marks this point on the edge grooves. At this time, please touch the test button to eliminate the beeping noise when marking the position.
(6) Repeat the sampling step of (3) above, and then measure along the wall, from the opposite direction to the center, find the other side edge of the grooves, and locate the other side edge of the groove.
(7) In order to lock the position more accurately, the above sampling and detection steps can be repeated multiple times.
