Coir Organic Compost Blocks | 10L & 75L

Coir Organic Compost Blocks are an organic, peat free growing media for horticulture and floriculture. An eco-friendly organic soil substitute and soil conditioner, it's a greener alternative to peat moss. Coir, sometimes known as coco, is manufactured sustainably from the fibrous husk of the coconut. The pith is washed, heat-treated and graded before being pressed into shape. With a neutral pH of 6.5-7, it's suitable for almost any type of plant, flower or crop.

Light & Aerated Potting Medium

Four times lighter than soil, it is excellent for terrace gardens and hanging baskets. Coir compost is also great for flower beds, potted plants, nurseries & horticultural crops. Easily tackle big projects such as golf courses, sports fields, landscaping and large turfs using Coir Blocks as a base. Incorporate Coir Blocks into virtually any soil to improve its physical and nutritional properties.

Plant Booster

Coir is perfect for adding virtually any powdered, granular or liquid fertiliser/conditioner to. The absorbent qualities of coir greatly help retain essential nutrients and mineral for growth. It is best to mix in your desired feed straight after hydrating the coir blocks to give your plants the best possible start. After that time we recommend using a granular top dressing or liquid feed fertiliser. If using with an already developed plant or potting on we recommend purchasing with our high phosphorus Coir Fertiliser to give plants a boost. Coir Fertiliser is supplied at 5 grams of fertiliser per 10L block and 30 grams of fertiliser per 75L block.

Growth & Protection

Coir blocks will help improve the efficiency of nutrients, whilst aiding plant's root structures and development. Coir offers plants additional protection from disease, encouraging beneficial organisms and bacteria within the soil. The water retaining properties of coir compost also make for less work maintaining and watering plants and crops.

Quick & Easy

Simple and easy to use. Place the block into a suitably sized container, such as a wheelbarrow or plastic tub, and add water to hydrate and expand the coir. Work the coir with hands or a trowel to create an even and consistent mixture.
