Summary
- 50cl
- 46.2% ABV
- Nose: A hit of creamy, sweet vanilla and freshly sliced oranges. There is a mulled wine-like delivery of toasted cinnamon. Aromatic notes of dark chocolate, ripe plums and fragrant oak develop in the glass.
- Palate: A rich flavour, Seville orange marmalade and even a hint of blackberry. Soft chamois leather and cedar wood provide a complex backbone alongside a huge dosing of cinnamon and liquorice.
- Finish: Long finish with notes of old-fashioned cola cubes and intense bittersweet orange and a final flutter of toasted oak.
Ableforth's Rumbullion! XO 15 Year Old Rum 50cl Description
Ableforth's latest addition to their Rumbullion! series, the Rumbullion! XO 15 Years Old, is a remarkable spiced rum that rivals its predecessors.
Drawing inspiration from the seafaring traditions of the past, this special reserve is carefully crafted from a blend of vanilla, orange peel, and a fine selection of spices. While it still boasts the familiar and delightful flavour notes of the original, the use of an exceptional 15-year-old Caribbean rum adds a depth of intensity that is truly captivating.
The result is a full-bodied and well-balanced spiced rum that is so exceptional that the Captain is unlikely to share a single drop from his personal reserve, kept safely locked away in his quarters.
