The Adafruit Motor/Stepper/Servo Shield for allows control of to 4 motors or 2 stepper motors.
It features TB6612 MOSFETs that provide an output current of 1.2 A per channel, with currents to 3 A for short durations.
An additional PWM driver is included the board, controlled via I2C, freeing the 's PWM outputs.
Only two pins, SDA & SCL, are needed for controlling multiple motors, simplifying the wiring process.

The second, improved version of the Adafruit Motor-Shield offers the easiest and fastest way to control motors and stepper motors. The L293D Darlington drivers have been replaced with TB6612 MOSFETs, which provide enhanced performance. The motor control is facilitated by an extra PWM driver the board, ensuring efficient operation.
