The MG34 Tray was created by Michael Graves for the Italian label Alessi.

Since its launch in 1921, Alessi has brought art and industry closer together, working with renowned designers to create home products crafted from metal, glass and porcelain. These combine traditional skills and modern techniques. American-born Michael Graves was a noted architect and product designer. He worked on the Whitney Museum of American Art and the Newark Museum.

The MG34 Tray is designed to complement the MG sugar bowl and creamer. The design seamlessly works an attractive form with useful function. The tray has an oval shape, is crafted from mirror-polished stainless steel and features a dotted decoration on the rim which gives added character. A central rod with a handle allows the tray and its tea set to be easily lifted and carried from the kitchen into the lounge or dining room. It is also ideal for giving a loved one the treat of breakfast in bed. As well as being perfect for serving hot drinks, the tray makes a decorative container for sweets, fruit, candles or even ornaments. The dimensions of the MG34 Tray are 18 x 10 cm.
