GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Collarette Dahlias Are Classified By Their Form And Colour. The Blooms Have A Single Row Of Ray Florets That Have Rounded Tips And Are Arranged On A Flat Plane Surrounding A Disc Flower. All Eight Ray Florets Should Be Uniform, Slightly Cupped And Overlap. Collarettes Have Petaloids That Are Less Than Half The Length Of The Rosy Florets. The Petaloids That Surround The Disc Flower Are Usually A Different Colour Than The Ray Florets And Look Like A Collar.

The Ray Florets Of Alstergrusz Are Orange And The Collar Is Yellow With A Golden Disc. Alstergrusz Is An Incredible Garden Colour And Holds Well As A Cut Flower. It Is A Very Prolific Bloomer. They Are Wonderful Additions To Summer Bouquets. The Collarette Dahlia Alstergrusz Will Flower All Summer Long And Grows Up To 35 Cm. Dahlia Bulbs Are Called Tubers.
