1. Model: For ANSI 40 / DIN(ISO)08A chain. Size: 12 mm bore clamping pinion with 14 teeth, 12.7 mm (1/2 inch) pitch, 63 mm outer diameter. 2. The tension pinion is a flat pinion with a precision bearing (6201Z) that allows the pinion to rotate. Tension pinions are usually mounted in a fixed position on a fixed shaft. 3. Made from quality 45 steel that undergoes a hardening process to harden the teeth. This increases durability and reduces friction, resulting in a sprocket with hardness, wear resistance, and a long service life. 4. The tensioning pinion should not rotate at a higher speed than is permitted for drive pinions of the same size. Each roller chain tension pinion has strong teeth that can hook into the chain.
