Refurbished Apple MacBook Pro 16" | Core i9 | 16GB | 1TB SSD

Refurbished Apple MacBook Pro 16" | Core i9 | 16GB | 1TB SSD Description

The only Intel Mac in our range that runs the current version of macOS, and the one that brought back a proper keyboard. Eight cores of i9-9880H, 32GB of memory, a 1TB SSD and discrete Radeon Pro graphics behind a 16-inch Retina display at 3072 x 1920. A 100Wh battery, the largest Apple has ever fitted to a laptop.

Of every Intel Mac Apple made, this is the one still worth buying. The 16-inch 2019 is the only model from its year that runs macOS Tahoe — the current release — so it is being updated today while the 13-inch and 15-inch machines of the same era stopped two or three versions back.

Eight cores and the keyboard they fixed
The Core i9-9880H runs eight cores and sixteen threads to 4.8GHz, with 32GB of memory, a 1TB SSD and a discrete AMD Radeon Pro 5500M. This generation also replaced the butterfly keyboard with the Magic Keyboard — scissor switches, a physical Escape key and inverted-T arrow keys — which ended the reliability problem that dogged every MacBook Pro before it.

The best screen and the biggest battery
The 16-inch Retina display resolves 3072 x 1920 at 226 ppi, holds 500 nits and covers the P3 gamut. The 100Wh battery is the largest Apple has ever put in a laptop, rated at up to eleven hours. Four Thunderbolt 3 ports, Touch Bar with a separate Touch ID key, and the T2 security chip.
