Arduino R3 MIDI Breakout Adapter Description
The MIDI adapter board for Arduino R3 allows any compatible microcontroller to utilise the powerful MIDI communication protocol. It includes MIDI-IN, MIDI-OUT, and MIDI THRU connections, with optical isolation on the input to avoid ground loops. Designed as a shield, it fits directly onto an Arduino, routing MIDI-IN/THRU to the hardware RX pin and MIDI-OUT to the TX pin. The board exposes all data, analog, power, and bus pins for easy access, and features a RUN/PGM switch for straightforward serial programming without removing the board. Size is roughly 57.4 x 53.1mm and the PCB is green.
