Product DescriptionBide from Ravencourt Living. Bide is new unique bedside fall-prevention device. It actively seeks to prevent falls. It detects when an individual has woken up, and turns on its light. It also plays pre-recorded messages to calm and soothe the person. These can be recorded by their carers and loved ones, with targeted messages to make them stop and think, especially useful for when they are confused from having just woken up. For instance, it could be as simple as: ""Mum, remember to slow down and be careful"", or ""The bathroom is down the hall"". Bide also has a 'traffic light' sequence of lights, changing from red to amber to green, encouraging them to take their time before they stand up from bed, and so making sure they are safer. Bide was designed by a doctor, British GP Tom Adler, who was inspired to prevent falls after his own mum had a bad experience. A fall can be devastating for older people, and can too often lead to a loss of independence. We hope his invention can help keep you and your loved ones safe.
