AWAFI MILL Green Cardamom Seeds are the aromatic inner seeds extracted from dried capsules of Elettaria cardamomum, commonly known as Green Cardamom, Small Cardamom or Choti Elaichi.

Codex recognises whole pods, opened pods, seeds, powdered seeds and powdered whole pods as separate commercial styles of Small Cardamom. This product is the seed-only style, with the fibrous green capsule removed.

The seeds are naturally small, irregular and dark brown to near black. They provide the concentrated floral, citrusy and warmly sweet character associated with Green Cardamom.

Green Cardamom Seeds are convenient for recipes where the fibrous outer pod is not required. Use them whole in coffee and tea, lightly crush them for rice and curries, or grind them for desserts, baked goods and seasoning blends.

Cardamom is traditionally used in Arabic gahwa and is also widely used in Asian dishes, baked goods, confectionery and spice mixtures.
