1. This osd can only be used in APM pirates and other flight controls that support the mavlink protocol, can not be used alone with gps, can only read the mavlink protocol.

2. If you are using it alone, please connect the TX RX- to APM.

Functions: 

1. The OSD automatically recognises the video format of the camera. However, if you do not connect a camera, you can select the standard without camera output by using a soldering point on the back. The default is N, solder PAL on the back. PAL output

2.MinimOSD is an Arduino based OSD designed for ArduPilot MEGA and MAVlink protocols, its main components are an Arduino ATmega328 MCU and a MAX7456 monochrome screen overlay chip. Programming is via an FTDI compatible 6-pin connector.

It features two separate power and ground sections isolating the analogue stage of the OSD function: a 5 V section of the ATMEGA and a digital stage of the OSD function, powered via a cable to the FTD or other 5 V source; and a regulated 5 V section of

 the analogue stage of the OSD function powered via a video/output connector, capable of handling up to +12 V input.
