Feline herpes virus (FHV-1)

Infectious disease experts estimate that at least 80% of cats are infected with feline herpes virus throughout their lives. Once the initial infection is resolved, the virus becomes latent, and in stressful situations, it can reactivate and give rise to a respiratory and / or ocular pathology. Cats infected with FHV-1 are thus chronically ill and permanent carriers of the infection. Typical symptoms include runny nose, sneezing, conjunctivitis, keratitis, chemosis, ulcers on the nose, lips, tongue and gums; and, in general, fever, lethargy and loss of appetite.

L-lysine

Lysine is an amino acid that, among other properties, has a competitive action with arginine, another amino acid that is essential for the replication of FHV-1. By blocking arginine, L-lysine inhibits the virus's ability to multiply. Recent clinical studies demonstrate the efficacy of oral lysine in reducing both viral elimination and clinical symptoms associated with the virus.

Directions for use:

Administer directly into the animal's mouth, paw or mix with a little feed.

Cats: 2 ml twice a day.

Kittens: 1 ml twice a day.

Start taking it one week before periods of stress and prolong it at least 2 weeks later.

Give as soon as possible for best results. 1 Pump 2 ml.
