The Canesten thrush duo contains an oral capsule and tube of external cream that work together to fight thrush at the source of infection. Thrush is a common yeast infection that many people, especially women, experience at some point in their lives. Symptoms include itching, irritation, a burning sensation when you go to the loo or unusual vaginal discharge. The active ingredient in Canesten oral capsule is fluconazole, an anti-fungal that works to restore the balance of good and bad bacteria in your body and fight against the fungi or yeast that may be causing your thrush.

The Canesten oral capsule and cream is an effective single-dose treatment for vaginal thrush that can also be used by your partner if he is experiencing symptoms of thrush. The capsule treats thrush at the site of infection, and the cream treats irritation or itchiness around the vulva.

You must be at least 16 years old to purchase this product.

How to use

• Swallow the capsule whole with a glass of water (with or without food).
• The cream should only be used externally.
• Apply thinly and evenly over the affected area 2 or 3 times daily and rub in gently.
• Treatment should be continued until the symptoms disappear, or up to 1 week in women and up to 2 weeks in men. If symptoms persist for more than 7 days, see your doctor.

• As with other creams, this product may reduce the effectiveness of rubber contraceptives, such as condoms or diaphragms

Do not use it if you are

• Allergic to any of the ingredients, taking the antihistamine terfenadine or the medicine cisapride, pregnant, trying for a baby and/or breast-feeding
• The capsule contains lactose monohydrate

Miconazole Nitrate 20 mg.

Cream active ingredients: Clotrimazole 200mg (2% w/w).

Other ingredients: Benzyl Alcohol, Polysorbate 60, Sorbitan Stearate, Cetyl Palmitate, Cetostearyl Alcohol, Octyldodecanol, Purified Water.
