Celestron Filter Drawer Kit for Origin Intelligent Home Observatory Telescope

Celestron Filter Drawer Kit for Origin Intelligent Home Observatory Telescope Description

The same detachable drawer that comes with every Celestron Origin telescope is now offered as a stand-alone attachment, allowing you to replace a misplaced drawer or keep a backup on hand. You can quickly switch out filters by preloading them into different drawers.

Features:

- Made for the Celestron Origin Intelligent Home Observatory.
- Supports both 1.25" (via included adapter) and 2" standard filters.
- Compatible with standard narrowband, broadband, and specialty filters
- Zero unthreading required during night sessions; allows for instant "hot-swapping" of filters.
- Includes magnets (requires epoxy for installation to match your specific telescope's polarity)
- Reduce the chance of drops, fingerprints, or cross-threading while keeping your imaging session moving
- Durable construction and smooth operation are designed for repeated swaps during long imaging sessions
- 2-Year Warranty

It is necessary to install the new magnets included in this kit before using it. Before placing the drawer into the filter housing, use epoxy glue (not provided) to secure the magnets to the drawer, being careful to ensure that the polarity is right. Give the adhesive a full day to cure.

The drawer accepts standard 1.25" and 2" filters, allowing you to use light-pollution and narrowband filters when imaging nebulae from suburban skies. For broadband targets, such as galaxies and star clusters, or when imaging under darker skies, simply switch to a drawer with Origin's included clear filter installed to maximise light throughput and brightness. You can avoid unthreading filter cells in the dark and lower the risk of damage by keeping an extra drawer preloaded with your Celestron Origin, staying organised, and getting the most out of every imaging session. To maximise light flow and brightness, simply switch to a drawer with Origin's built-in clear filter inserted while photography under darker skies or for broadband targets like galaxies and star clusters.

You can reduce the risk of damage and prevent unthreading of filter cells in the dark by keeping an extra drawer stocked with your chosen filter. With your Celestron Origin, you can quickly switch filters, maintain organization, and maximise each imaging session. Whether you're improving your imaging workflow or replacing a lost component, this straightforward update offers significant versatility.

Solar Warning
Never look directly at the Sun with the naked eye or with an optic (unless you have the proper solar filter). Permanent and irreversible eye damage may result.
Never use your optic to project an image of the Sun onto any surface. Internal heat build-up can damage the optic and any accessories attached to it.
Never leave your optic unsupervised. Make sure an adult who is familiar with the correct operating procedures is with your optic at all times, especially when children are present.
