Cerutin, 125 film-coated tablets Description
CERUTIN 100 mg / 25 mg film-coated tablets 2. QUALITATIVE AND QUANTITATIVE COMPOSITION One film-coated tablet contains 100 mg ascorbic acid (Acidum ascorbicum) and 25 mg rutoside trihydrate (Rutosidum trihydricum). Excipient with known effect: lactose monohydrate 1.90 mg per tablet. For a full list of excipients, see section 6.1. 3. PHARMACEUTICAL FORM Film-coated tablet Yellow, round, biconvex film-coated tablets. 4. CLINICAL PARTICULARS 4.1 Therapeutic indications in states of vitamin C and rutoside deficiency - supporting the body's immunity; Sealing capillaries - preventing colds and relieving flu symptoms. 4.2 Posology and method of administration Orally. Adults Prophylactically: 1 to 2 tablets a day In states of vitamin C deficiency: 1 to 2 tablets 2 to 4 times a day Children and youth Prophylactically: up to 12 years: 1 tablet a day 12 to 18 years: 1 to 2 tablets a day In states of vitamin C deficiency: up to 12 years: 1 to 2 tablets 2 times a day 12 to 18 years: 1 to 2 tablets 2 to 4 times a day Only to be used in children who can swallow the tablet. 4.3 Contraindications Hypersensitivity to the active substances or to any of the excipients listed in section 6.1. 4.4 Special warnings and precautions for use The medicinal product should be used with caution in patients with impaired hemoglobin synthesis and hemochromatosis. Vitamin C in high doses may increase the excretion of oxalic acid, gout, urolithiasis, cystinuria, hypokalaemia and hypercalcemia. The use of high doses of ascorbic acid in patients with excess iron absorption should be avoided from the digestive tract. Concomitant use of rutin and suflatiazole is not recommended due to the increased risk of blood vessel damage and haemorrhage. This medicinal product contains lactose. The product should not be used in patients with rare hereditary problems of galactose intolerance, the Lapp lactase deficiency or glucose-galactose malabsorption.
