Chilli Jalapeno Widely known as The Pizza Pepper. A colourful variety, Jalapeno is both mild and tasty. Very attractive, the fruit are slightly tapered with a blunt end, are generally 3-5 inches long, dark green at first but turn bright red as they mature. Great to eat when they are green but as they turn red Jalapeno becomes a little sweeter. Versatile in the kitchen the peppers can be sliced onto pizza, used to spice up a sandwich, they can also be stuffed and baked or used fresh in a salsa. Growing just 35-40 inches tall Jalapeno can be grown indoors under glass or outdoors in a well sheltered sunny spot. It also makes a very attractive pot plant in the conservatory. Chilli Jalapeno grows best in consistently moist soil but you must avoid overwatering, a good rule of thumb is only water when the top inch of soil becomes dry. A prolific cropper Jalapeno may need some support when the peppers are showing. Detailed growing instructions are on the back of each packet Packet contains: 30 seeds approx.
