Coalitions: Raison d'État is a competitive strategy game of diplomacy, influence, and shifting alliances in revolutionary Europe. Each player leads a major power seeking to shape the continent while managing limited resources, developing military strength, and pursuing political objectives. The central challenge lies in balancing cooperation and rivalry: agreements can provide short-term advantages, but the struggle for influence ultimately drives every decision.

Players use cards to expand their presence, contest key regions, and exploit changing opportunities on the map. Negotiation and timing are essential, as alliances may change when interests diverge. With substantial player interaction and multiple paths to victory, the game offers a demanding experience for groups who enjoy strategic planning, tactical adaptation, and diplomatic tension.
