It is then left to mature for many years in American oak casks. Connemara's combination of young and old whiskey allows you to experience the rich malt and fruit flavours that combine with the underlying vanilla tones and the deep, full bodied peat.\n\nTasting Note\n\nColour - Light golden.\n\nNose - Smoky peatiness balanced by heather floralness with hints of honey and oak.\n\nTaste - Silky smooth with a honey sweet start, followed by more complex aromas of malt and fruit giving way to the intensifying full bodied peat.\n\nFinish - A long and glorious finish with golden honey notes and deep peat spreading across the mouth and palate.
