Contrahist Allergy hay fever, 10 tablets

Contrahist Allergy is an antiallergic drug for use in adults, adolescents and children over 6 years of age in the course of:

• allergic rhinitis, including chronic rhinitis,
• chronic idiopathic urticaria.

The active substance is levocetirizine dihydrochloride, which  has antiallergic properties: it inhibits skin reactions, including rash and hives, and reduces the vascular permeability of mucous membranes, including the nasal mucosa. The drug has low penetration into the central nervous system and usually does not exert a sedative effect or cause drowsiness, therefore it is classified as a second-generation antihistamine. It is used to treat chronic and seasonal allergic rhinitis (hay fever) and chronic idiopathic urticaria. Levocetirizine improves the quality of life of people suffering from perennial allergic rhinitis .

Symptomatic treatment of allergic rhinitis (including chronic rhinitis) and chronic idiopathic urticaria in adults, adolescents and children over 6 years of age.

Antiallergic.

• Adults and children from 6 years of age:  1 tablet (5 mg) daily.
• Swallow the tablet whole with water.
• The medicine can be taken during or between meals.

Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed dose. If you do not feel better or if you feel worse after 3 days of starting treatment, consult your doctor. Do not use this medicine for more than 10 days without consulting your doctor. Patients with liver problems usually do not need to reduce the dose. Patients with kidney problems should consult their doctor about the possible need to reduce the dose. Contrahist Allergy tablets are not recommended for children under 6 years of age.
