Product DescriptionAt factor 55 we have been using a version of our custom very short, flat straps to help in a variety of usable vehicle recovery applications. These short bands are not like the typical Recovery/Snatch straps. The shorty straps are not for storing energy from stretch. They are designed to serve as a versatile short soft link on vehicles and are made from an ultra-low stretch polyester, non-stretch nylon like typical snatch straps. The applications that are controlled by simple attachment to your vehicles that do not have recovery points to repair with your winch and shorty strap field/straighten bent components such as tie rods and pull left. The heirs, flat shape of the straps prevent the straps from rolling away and twisting when attached to hose shapes such as bumper stingers, steering components and Nerf bars. We prefer flat straps over round ropes for this reason. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Also polyester fabric material is a small element of the stretch and all the energy stored is a function of % stretch and the length of the straps, we have the loop to be as short as possible, but still overlap and count the necessary webbing necessary for the specific load. The total length of the shorty is reduced to only 1.5 metres long when used in the common shopping cart straps 3 feet, and configuration. Low elongation/energy storage equivalent to Recoil less energy while a component is not possible.
