Freeze-dried fruit - Strawberry 65g

Freeze-dried fruit - Strawberry 65g Description

Freeze-dried sliced strawberries for little ones and big ones!

Freeze-dried fruit in slices is a convenient form of serving fruit, especially in autumn, winter and spring, when the availability of fresh seasonal produce straight from the tree or bush is severely limited.

Strawberries are characterized primarily by their high vitamin C content. These fruits are also an excellent source of B vitamins, including folate, especially recommended for pregnant women. They also contain vitamins A and K, potassium, magnesium, phosphorus, calcium and manganese. Substances contained in strawberries support metabolism. Phenolic compounds present in the fruit help neutralize free radicals, blocking their production and supporting the body's antioxidant processes.

What is freeze-drying?

Freeze-drying is the process of directly removing water from a previously frozen product, while omitting the liquid state. While standard drying is carried out using high temperatures destroying much of the nutritional value, the use of freeze-drying helps preserve most of the vitamins, minerals, enzymes and other valuable components contained in the fresh product. Freeze-dried fruits also have a very similar color, shape, smell and taste to the fresh product.

Today, freeze-drying is one of the best methods of food preservation, which does not require the addition of any artificial substances. The finished product has only 1 to 2% water, which makes it very light and long-lasting without the need for preservatives or candied with sugar.
