Chaga is a specialized tree mushroom (polypore) that grows on birch and select other trees in cold, northern forests. Chaga has been traditionally used for hundreds of years by the people of northern Europe and Russia as a tonic for general well-being and immune health. Preliminary research suggests chaga has immunomodulating properties that support healthy activity of important immune cells. Planetary Herbals Full Spectrum Chaga combines both the fruiting body and mycelium biomass to deliver a broad range of the mushroom's beneficial compounds.
