Gripit TV Hanging Kit With Blue Fixings & Drill Bit For Plasterboard Description
Fixings that provide secure anchor points for hanging wall mounted TVs (and other products weighing up to 113kg) on plasterboard walls.
Contains:
4 x Blue 25mm Gripit fixings
4 x M8 x 30mm bolts
4 x flat washers
4 x locking washers
25mm flat drill bit
To Install: Mark location of fixing point and drill hole using a power drill and the flat drill bit provided Using a hammer, gently tap Gripit fully into the hole ensuring that the arrow on the fixing collar is pointing upwards for correct positioning Push the centre cam of the fixing using a screwdriver and turn clockwise 90 degrees (1/4 revolution) to open the gripping wings in the cavity space behind the plasterboard.
NB: turning the centre cam anti-clockwise will close the wings and allow you to remove and reuse elsewhere if required Attach TV bracket to the wall by screwing into fixing.
NB: for best results, hand tighten the bolt with a screwdriver until resistance is felt. Gripping wings will distribute weight more effectively than conventional fixings or plugs.
Please note: Suitable for all standard plasterboard thicknesses (9.5mm to 15mm) 113kg max. shear load on 15mm plasterboard under test conditions. Safe loads will reduce if plasterboard is thinner (min. 9.5mm) Do not install on damp, weak or damaged plasterboard Continuous and repetitive loading/unloading on fixing will weaken plasterboard Always refer to manufacturer's instructions before fixing any object to plasterboard with Gripit and use the maximum recommended number of fixings.
