Hascovir Control – Indications

Hascovir Control 200 mg is indicated for the treatment of recurrent cold sores on the lips and face caused by the herpes simplex virus (Herpes simplex). It is also suitable for the treatment of infections caused by the varicella-zoster virus (treatment of chickenpox and shingles). It is intended exclusively for adults.

Hascovir Control – Properties

Hascovir Control contains the active ingredient acyclovir at a dose of 200 mg per tablet. It inhibits the multiplication of viruses from the Herpes group that are pathogenic to humans. Hascovir Control therefore has antiviral activity and is suitable for treating herpes simplex virus types 1 and 2 (HSV), which cause infections of the skin and mucous membranes.

The medicine may only be used in patients who have previously been diagnosed with a herpes simplex virus infection.

Hascovir Control – Dosage

Hascovir Control should be taken orally at a dose of 200 mg (1 tab) five times a day, every 4 hours (with a break overnight), for 5 days.

In the case of recurrent infections, it is particularly important to start treatment during the period before the warning symptoms appear, such as itching, burning, or a feeling of tightness, or immediately after the first lesions appear.
