Health Labs Care OmegaMe Prenatal is a dietary supplement designed to complement the daily diet of pregnant women. Each capsule contains 1000 mg of anchovy oil, of which 700 mg is docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) and 100 mg is eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA). The formula has been additionally supplemented with a high dose of vitamin D (2000 IU in each capsule.

Essential unsaturated fatty acids from the omega-3 family are an important ingredient in the diet of every woman expecting a child. Consumption of docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) by the mother supports the proper development of the eyes and brain in the fetus. A beneficial effect is obtained when consuming 200 mg of DHA per day in addition to the recommended daily intake of omega-3 fatty acids for adults, i.e. 250 mg of DHA and eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA). At the same time, consuming 250 mg of DHA per day, from all sources in a properly selected and balanced diet, contributes to maintaining proper brain function, as well as proper vision. Eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) also support the proper functioning of the heart. A beneficial effect is obtained when consuming 250 mg of EPA and DHA per day. Vitamin D, on the other hand, helps in the proper functioning of the immune system. It is also needed to maintain healthy bones and proper muscle function. Vitamin D also takes part in the process of cell division.
