HEI Compatible Ignition Probe Description
This professional secondary ignition probe allows oscilloscopes to measure kilovolt values in HEI, DIS, and conventional ignition systems. It is a capacitive pickup that clips around the insulation of ignition circuit components such as plug wires. The probe uses a capacitive clip and conditioning circuit to generate a readable waveform. It includes a shielded 2.5-metre lead and is suitable for conventional, HEI, and most DIS systems. For safe use, attach the clip to the insulated wire, not the plug itself, and keep it at least 2 inches from other high-voltage wires to prevent interference.
