Very easy to set up right out of the box. There was a very loud grounding hum when I first connected it, but after fiddling with the input jack a bit, that went away. (There is still a bit of hum at higher volumes - just make sure that your source volume is all the way up.) Mostly I use it to connect the audio out of my Macbook to the input of my bookshelf stereo system, but it also worked with my android phone. Haven't tried any other function. Would have preferred a longer power cable. Bluetooth range is quite good. Overall, I'm happy with it.
Power output is much lower than expected. The signal from the adapter to my Bluetooth headphones is extremely weak. Even if I raise the volume levels in amplifier output and corresponding headphones the signal is surprisingly weak. I was expecting more.
