Mia is a contract killer with a big secret: she's a pre-op transsexual (transgender woman). Her life is sent into a tailspin when she receives a letter from her ex, Wendy, who reveals that she's dying from cancer and that Mia has a son, eleven year old Ryan. Travelling to the countryside to meet him, she discovers the rest of the Wendy's children. A lethal killer at the heart of a troubled family can only change their lives forever. Peter Wright (Another Year, Hot Fuzz) is Eddie, her handler and a well-known name in the criminal underworld. Ben, a local landscape gardener who falls for Mia, unaware of her transgender status, is played by Jonas Armstrong (Robin Hood, The Street). Vincent Regan (300, Clash Of The Titans) is John, a dangerous local farmer.
