Houseplant Succulent Mix (Sempervivum) Description

Unwins Houseplant Succulent Mix (Sempervivum) Seeds are part of the NEW Unwins indoor plant seeds range. The succulent mix produces a beautiful mix of succulent rosettes that are easy to grow and maintain.

Tough, drought-tolerant, and easy to grow in full sun and poor soil, these low growing rosettes add bold texture and colour.

Sow: January to December

Sowing
Level fill a tray with Westland Seed & Cutting Compost, firming gently with the base of another tray. Water well with a fine rose. Scatter seeds thinly, covering lightly with vermiculite. Place the tray in the fridge for 1 week, then move to a propagator at 20-25 C or cover with cling film and leave in a warm room.

Growing On
When shoots appear, remove cling film. Keep seedlings in a light position. Once seedlings have at least 4 leaves, transplant 5 cm apart into trays of Westland Cacti, Succulent & Terrarium Potting Mix or singly into small pots. Maintain a minimum temperature of 12 C.

Advice
Sempervivums are drought-tolerant and thrive in well-drained soil. Avoid overwatering, as standing water can cause rot. Allow soil to dry out between waterings.
