In order to keep your property safe from unwanted callers and burglars, it's best to have several lines of defense. Good, strong locks on your doors and windows are great, but the Hyfive Motion Sensing Light & Alarm is great at quickly warding off criminals. It uses an invisible Passive Infra-Red (PIR) sensor to detect body heat.

This driveway alarm has a dual function. When someone walks into the sensor's detection field, they'll be bathed in a bright white light from the integrated set of LEDs in the sensor's body. Simultaneously a buzzing sound will emanate from the receiver, letting you know that someone's at the door. Driveway alarm and doorbell in one package, what's not to like?

The range between the sensor and the receiver module is over 120 metres, letting you place the receiver in your bedroom or living room where you can hear the buzz without worrying about missed calls. 

Keeping your home safe shouldn't be hard. That's why this driveway alarm can be installed without wires. The PIR sensor just needs a standard 9 Volt battery to operate. This means you can place it where the sensor is convenient to you, and not your electrical wiring. A low battery indicator on the sensor lets you know when that 9 volt is running low on juice.The receiver module needs a slightly less common 3C battery, or you can run it from a mains wire thanks to the plug in mains power adaptor. 

Although it works brilliantly guarding your driveways, that's not the only way you can use this wireless alarm. It can come in handy in other locations too. Place it outside your business office to deter opportunistic thieves and provide illumination for your staff if street lights aren't enough. Mounting it to face your back garden is also a great idea: wild pests like foxes will be frightened off by the sudden bright light.
