Korg Roland Yamaha USB Floppy Emulator 720KB Description
This USB floppy drive emulator is designed for 720KB drives in Korg, Roland, and Yamaha electric organs. It uses a standard USB flash drive for data transfer, with a 33-pin interface and 5V DC power for straightforward installation. The built-in 720KB flash memory formatted as FAT12 caches data from the USB drive. It can locate files within 720KB of root directory capacity or across 999 folders, supporting long file names and 4-level directories. Jumpers configure it for various machines, and it handles up to 100 disk image files. The panel includes an 8-segment display, a green LED, and a USB port. Buttons manage data transfer between the built-in memory and USB drive, and pressing both buttons during power-up shows the firmware version. Error codes like E0 indicate missing files, and E16 indicates memory faults. Dimensions are 122 x 102 x 25mm, weight 98g, with a gray ABS housing.
